The PMI South Alabama Chapter is preparing for 2027, and we are looking for dedicated project professionals who are ready to bring their talents, perspectives, and leadership to our chapter.
Nominations open October 15, 2026, for vacant and open leadership positions supporting the PMI South Alabama Chapter's 2027 Board and leadership team.
Whether you are an experienced chapter volunteer, a longtime PMI member, or a member ready to take your first step into chapter leadership, we invite you to consider serving.
Help provide strategic leadership for the chapter and support the Chapter President and Board of Directors in advancing PMI South Alabama's mission, annual priorities, governance, and organizational growth.
Help strengthen the chapter's governance framework by supporting policies, procedures, board accountability, compliance, organizational documentation, and alignment with PMI and chapter requirements.
Lead efforts to strengthen PMI South Alabama's visibility and brand presence throughout our service area. Help develop campaigns that promote membership, programs, partnerships, events, and the value of project management.
Help develop educational experiences that strengthen the skills and careers of our members, including workshops, professional development programming, certification-focused opportunities, speakers, and learning partnerships.
Develop and strengthen relationships with businesses and community partners while identifying sponsorship opportunities that support chapter programs, events, and strategic initiatives.
Help connect project management with community impact by developing outreach opportunities, partnerships, service initiatives, and programs that allow PMI South Alabama to make a meaningful difference across the communities we serve.
Help bring the PMI South Alabama member experience to life by supporting the planning, coordination, execution, and evaluation of chapter meetings, networking experiences, professional development programs, and signature events.
Build relationships with colleges, universities, students, emerging professionals, and rising leaders to create stronger pathways into PMI, project management, chapter involvement, and professional development.
Help tell the PMI South Alabama story. Support the chapter's social media presence by developing and coordinating engaging digital content that promotes events, celebrates members and partners, highlights chapter accomplishments, and strengthens engagement with our professional community.
Serve as a key connection between PMI South Alabama and our region’s active-duty military, veterans, transitioning service members, military spouses, and military-affiliated organizations. Help build relationships that increase awareness of project management career pathways, PMI certifications, professional development opportunities, chapter membership, and community engagement. The Military Liaison will also help identify opportunities for PMI South Alabama to support service members as they translate their military leadership and project experience into successful civilian careers.
